Sue Fierston’s botanical bas relief tiles will be on exhibit in the Essex Gallery at the Community College of Baltimore County from October 5 to November 20, with a reception from 6-8PM on October 22. Sue has 10 tiles in the group show ImagiNATURE.
The exhibition pairs objects from the Maryland Museum of Natural Sciences collection with artworks that investigate and interpret the natural world through a range of approaches and perspectives. This is the first show in the U.S. to consider botanical tiles as artworks in their own right, taking seriously their composition, texture, and delight in the natural world.
